[FunFriday] The joys of... Pokemon?

So, it is now a WHOLE NEW YEAR! And what does that mean!? Well, aside from all the fun that comes with there being many resolutions to make and break, it also means I am now a married man! That, and I seem to have "rediscovered" the fun I had experienced as a youth in the world of, you got it, Pokemon!

The simple fact of the matter is this: Pokemon is pretty Addictive. Over the past 15 years (and yes, it has been around THAT long) the game has gone through MANY re-incarnations. Every 3 years or so, they jump into a new Generation where they combine as best they can all 650 Pokemon... yeah, it is a LOT.

To add on top of it, once people "beat" the story, there are contests that include Single, Double, and Triple battles people can try where they can combat other players from around the world, and as they do so they can do so digitally at ANY point via the fun Wifi Connections that seem to be all over the place these days.

Toss in the fact that the game now has a "Dream World" that you can explore similar to the famous Neopets, complete with Minigames and the ability to catch completely unique pokemon, the game has really come into it's own and has become VERY large indeed.

Bring on Round 2!

I have recently been playing Black Version 2 in between my full time job and wrapping up the christmas season and I have no complaints so far. They have REALLY polished the game off and have done many "small" things that really make the game shine.

For those familiar, you will more than likely see me mentioning the game from time to time, as if I can get the time and devotion to it on my days off I hope to try out the competitive environment. They seem very intense and LOADS of fun! And I can not believe how much strategy is within the game these days.

If by any chance you are into the franchise and have any of the Black/White, the recent Gold/Silver, or simply have a Nintendo 3DS/3DSXL let me know in the comments or send me a message on Google+ and we can see about trading Friend Codes! For many who have yet to try the franchise, I highly recommend the game a try if you like RPGs with a strong Completionist mentality!

Till then, I look forward to sharing with you all the first installment of SUPER SUNDAYS! And since I didn't get to it before: HAPPY NEW YEARS!
